I have been working in the health care profession for about 45 years now with a specialty in chronic pain management. This journey brought me first to energy healing through “Therapeutic Touch” when I was working at the Oregon Pain Center in 1989.

A friend of mine took me to Indrayla to learn and study with Dora Kunz and Delores Kreigger, PhD, RN, the founding grandmothers of Therapeutic Touch. Prior to this I was focusing primarily on the physical aspects of healing pain yet understood the importance of the Mind, Body, Spirit connections. My eyes, heart and hands were opened to another level of healing, Energy. I was very honored to work with Dora K since she had clairvoyant awareness of the energy fields and had a gift for healing at a very young age. She allowed us to learn precisely what was happening in the client’s energy fields as we worked on them. A little daunting yet the experience helped me improve and develop my skills. Delores provided the structure for us to learn the principles and techniques of Therapeutic Touch. She was an amazing teacher that outlined our practice strategies on each other and with clients. Delores and Dora both spent extra time sharing the research they have studied regarding Energy Healing and its effect on the physical form which can manifest our pain.

I then went on to study other forms of healing in a variety of setting from workshops at Sacred Heart Hospital on Healing Touch to Alchemical Healing at Nikki Sculley’s private retreat center here in Eugene Oregon. Nikki is a world-renowned healer, author and teacher. Imagine my surprise that she lived in my town. I had used her CD “The Healing Cauldron Journey”, with Kuan Yin personally and with clients for years yet never knew she was right in my back yard. Each year I depend my skills and understanding of Energy Healing with her intensive training and guidance. Nikki also gave us excellent resources through her books and meditation CD’s.

I had an amazing experience taking a workshop from a Bio-Energy practitioner, Mietek Wirkus from Poland. His workshop was sponsored by Dr. Jan Stafl, MD at Sacred Heart Hospital. His teachings rocked my world and turned it upside down. Prior to this workshop I had assumed that energy came off the body like some sort of sonar. Mietek explained that energy is the matrix of the physical body. He shared in great detail the concept that energy precedes matter. This shifted my understanding of Energy Healing and the importance of changing our matrix in order to promote the healing of our physical body’s. Quite a shift of awareness that made me want to learn more techniques to help myself and my clients.

Over the following years I searched out additional healing modalities to add to my tool chest including Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Quantum Touch, Heart Math, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Hypnosis, Acupressure and Prayer in Healing. My tendency is to be eclectic. I meld the acquired skills, insights and training into the Healing Sessions. My focus is to meet the client where they are and to assist them in their individual healing process.
